In the face of the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, EWIS stepped up to serve as a pillar of support for the nation. We understand the significance of collective efforts, and during this medical crisis, we actively engaged in initiatives that uplifted communities, empowered educational institutions, strengthened healthcare systems, and assisted essential service providers.
With unwavering dedication, we launched a Distance Learning Programme, ensuring that students from all walks of life continued their education despite physical restrictions. Our technical and engineering support to telecast educational programs brought learning right into the homes of thousands.
Our Work
In the realm of healthcare, we equipped the Health Ministry with cutting-edge video conferencing facilities and tirelessly ensured the availability of vital medical supplies nationwide. Our “National Corona Awareness Programme” broadcasted across all local TV channels became a beacon of knowledge, spreading awareness and knowledge about Covid-19.
As a responsible corporate citizen, we lent a helping hand to Sathosa, the Essential Service Provider, enabling smooth operations to cater to the public’s basic needs throughout the crisis.
Beyond borders, we facilitated high-level collaboration with a video conferencing facility for the SAARC Country Heads Meeting. Our Smart Board implementation at the Prime Minister’s Office Task Force aided decision-making and coordination in real-time. Moreover, our contributions to the Local Government Project showcased our dedication to empowering local authorities in their response efforts.
In pursuit of technological advancement, we donated to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) to develop Medical Assistant Robots, thus contributing to cutting-edge healthcare solutions for the nation.
